SUMMARY:FCOA Annual Lecture Sir Simon Fraser: Rebuilding British Foreign Policy
DESCRIPTION:Sir Simon Fraser\, previously PUS in the FCO from 2010-15\, will give this year’s FCOA Annual Lecture on Wednesday 2 December at 12.00. The title is Rebuilding British Foreign Policy. \nBecause of current Covid restrictions\, it will not be possible for him to speak in KCS as we had previously planned. Instead he will do so via the video conferencing app Zoom. \nThere will be a charge of £5 to cover the administrative cost of the event. This amount can be paid either online via the Association’s website or by cheque made out to the FCOA and sent to the KCS office\, Room 43\, FCDO\, King Charles Street\, London SW1A 2AH. \nWe hope that as many of you as possible will join us on the 2nd of December – a pivotal moment for the future of British foreign policy – one month after the outcome of the US Presidential election and a month before the UK’s scheduled exit from the EU transition period.

SUMMARY:Christmas Party 2019
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nThis year’s Annual Reception will take place on Friday 6 December in the FCO’s Locarno Suite\, King Charles Street\, from 12.00 to 14.30. \n  \nAs last year it will have a distinct Christmas flavour. We are delighted that the excellent FCO Choir will open our event with some carols. Mulled wine\, white wine\, non-alcoholic mince pies\, crisps and nuts will be served. \n  \nThis will be an excellent opportunity to catch up with friends\, former colleagues and some of our newer members and of course to make new acquaintances in the surroundings of the FCO’s finest suite of rooms. Moreover\, it’s a good opportunity to help mark the beginning of the Association’s 20th anniversary. There is plenty of space to fill. I therefore urge as many of you as possible to join us on this special day. It’s not to be missed. \n  \nThe cost is £21 per person. Places can be booked below.
