The FCDOA’s goal is to keep members connected, encourage professional exchange, and provide a shared space for insight, discussion, and continued engagement with public service life.
Joining is easy – just two quick steps…
Membership is open to anyone who has ever worked for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office or the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, or at one of its overseas posts. The subscription is £25 per calendar year.
Step 1
You pay a pro-rata portion of the annual £25 subscription, depending on when in the calendar year you join.
Membership also includes spouses and partners of eligible individuals.
If you currently work in the FCDO, please join using your personal email address, not your official one, so you can complete sign-up and receive our messages.
Once signed up, you will be able to access the current edition of the Association’s magazine Inside Out.
Step 2
Once your membership eligibility has been confirmed, we will set up a payment plan for your future annual subscriptions.
You will be notified by email when this is complete. Direct Debits are managed securely by GoCardless, and the FCDOA will not see your financial details. You can cancel your Direct Debit at any time through your online bank account.
Once completed, you and your spouse will become full FCDOA members, with access to the full website, member search, newsletters and Association facilities.
